Hole in the Wall, Guilford’s oldest and only non-profit consignment and thrift shop, is located at 35 Boston Street, across from Ascend Bank in the rear section of the Boston Commons shopping center. In 2024, Hole in the Wall celebrated its 50th year of continuous support of Guilford’s A Better Chance program. Shop proceeds provide a substantial portion of the funds required to operate the GABC program.
New merchandise arrives every day at Hole in the Wall, always gently priced and offering great value. Customers often remark on the friendly environment and helpful service provided by a staff of dedicated volunteers and a supportive management team who delight in helping customers find just the right thing.
Quality clothing, housewares, electronic equipment, sporting goods, jewelry, shoes, books and seasonal items are accepted for consignment or donation.
DONATIONS
Donations are accepted daily. Consignors should call the shop too arrange an appointment. Clothing should be on hangers, in current style and season, clean, pressed and in excellent condition. Donors may request a receipt for tax purposes. Email or call (203) 453-2088 for more information.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Looking for part-time work? From time to time openings are available for assistant managers. These positions generally require a commitment to work at least one weekend per month and the ability to lift boxes and bins, use a computer, and communicate effectively with customers, consigners and donors.
